The pattern contains the details to make the scrunchy. You need one ball of velvet yarn/chenille yarn (recommended) and a 3.5 mm hook, but there are instructions in the pattern to help you make the scrunchy with any yarn/hook size.

The pattern is written in English, with US crochet terms.  You need to be able to do the following stitches:
Ch – chain
Sc – single crochet (US) - double crochet (UK)
